Hello,
I would like your assistance with information on studying in Canada, specifically about Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs) with Post-Graduation Work Permits (PGWP).
I am 29 years old, living in Nigeria with approximately 6 years work experience as a secondary level teacher and 6 months experience as a banker.
I hold a B.Sc in Microbiology and an M.Sc in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology from the University of Benin, Nigeria. I wish to study further in Canada.
Thanks for your anticipated help.
Best regards,
Robato Gamidor
Studying in Canada in institutions with DLI status
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Robato,
Thank you for your e-mail. Public and Private Colleges and Universities are given Designated Learning Institution (DLI) status by Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC); However, if you are looking at Ontario as your destination, only the public colleges and universities are eligible for Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
Access Pro helps you apply to about 40 PGWP-eligible colleges and universities!
PGWP is granted depending on the length of your program. If you get two-programs or a two-year program, you will be eligible for a three-year PGWP. This will allow you to complete a one full year of work experience in your field of study to be eligible for permanent residency in Canada.
Do you want to study in a college located in the heart of downtown, Toronto?
If you need our assistance in finding a program and college for you, we will need scanned copies of your resume; scanned pages of valid passport showing your information, High School and College (including Bachelor’s and Master’s) Diploma and Transcript of Records. All Colleges and Universities require these documents.
Sincerely,
